CV-25 DEBUGGER-2 

Function Description:

* Suitable for PC 286/386/486/586/PII/PIII... compatible system.

* RST(RESET DRV), RDY(I/O CHECK READY), ALE, IOW, VCC, -5V, +12V, -12V,

GND signals LED inductor.

* Select POST: (ERROR CODE DISPLAY);

(1) 7-SEGMENT hexadecimal display.

(2) Offer I/O PORT 80H, 60H, 300H.

(3) AEN signals set DISable/ENAble.

A. Hardware debug: Read BIOS check point's value, compare DIGIT display value with

BIOS error code list, will find out defective position.

(a) Usually this function can trace PC working success or not.

(b) If PC defective, can use phone to advise engineer the error code display, that can save

time for engineer repair.

B. Software Debug: For CHECK POINT display, Can write value to it, no need interrupt

program execution.

* Select STEP: 28pcs LED in BINARY system for A0-A19 (ADDRESS BUS) and D0-D7

(DATA BUS).

(1) When error code display nonsense code 00 or FF, can check ADDRESS BUS and

DATA BUS signals correct or not.

(2) Can trace BIOS operations STEP BY STEP.

(3) Can check ADDRESS BUS and DATA BUS signals open/short or not.

(4) Can check ADDRESS BUS and DATA BUS shortage with other signals or not.

(5) Will know the real address when system halted.

CV-26 DEBUGGER-2 

* All functions, operations, and testing same as CV-25.

* Difference: 7-SEGMENT digit display ADDRESS BUS (A0-A19) and DATA BUS

(D0-D7) in hexadecimal, It's more easier to view than in binary display.

CV-27 DEBUGGER-2 

* All functions, operations, and testing same as CV-26.

* Difference: LED and 7-SEGMENT display ADDRESS BUS and DATA BUS.
